You may make an appointment to see any of the doctors or nurses at the Practice by phoning between 08.30 – 1800
We also offer some appointments outwith normal working hours for those who have difficulty attending.
Appointments will not always be available on the same day, but if you have a problem that cannot wait until the first available appointment, explain this to the receptionist and arrangements will be made for you to be seen.
Please answer the receptionists questions about your problem – they are just trying to find the best way to help you.
If you are seen in an emergency slot please bear in mind that only your “emergency problem” can be dealt with.
We will try to keep to appointment times as much as possible, but inevitably some patients require more time than others. If you are kept waiting, please be patient. On the next occasion it may be you who requires more of the doctor’s time.
Please remember to either keep your appointment or cancel it. If you are going to cancel your appointment please do so as early as possible.
In order to keep the surgery running as smoothly as possible please remember the following:
-
Appointments are for 10 minutes only. You may be asked to make a further appointment if it is deemed by the doctor or nurse that you have too many issues to be dealt with in a single appointment.
-
Please be punctual for your appointment
-
Please let us know if you cannot keep your appointment
-
Please do not expect the doctor to “squeeze in” other members of your family at the same time as this results in less attention being given to each person.
-
Please don’t “save up” problems for one appointment. The doctor cannot tackle each problem fully in the time available. If you have several things to discuss, make a longer appointment at the end of surgery
